BOMBAY RUN is a fun and action-packed film full of iconic visuals
of Bombay. The city itself is portrayed as that of a romantic adventurer's
vision, full of happy people, bustling and thriving with trade.
The film is set against the impressive backdrop of Bombay's
most picturesque locations and will show of the city at it's best. Bombay is
a multi-cultural melting pot that invites visuals packed with
fascinating detail and ornamentation that's warm and colourful as well as
being exciting and surprising.
The setting and the story also lends itself to a
retrospective vision of action films that will be fully exploited. It will
be drawing
on the visual style of 1960s gangster films and early James Bond movies, typically set in
exotic locations with
moustached open-shirted baddies in quaint old cars.
In fact the standard official Bombay taxi is a 1960s Fiat 1100
Premier Padmini, that proudly remains in use today. There's also a number of
other classic cars on the roads of Bombay which act as a very distinctive
mood setter.
This throwback vision will of course be tempered by
modern shooting techniques and pacey action editing to produce a
fresh and captivating visual style that has both resonance and excitement. |
